FOG Gold 18U Boys (AB2) Capture Bronze at Nationals

FOG Gold 18U Boys, Alberta’s second-ranked team, earned a bronze medal at the 2025 National Championships held in Edmonton from May 23–25.

In the opening round of pool play, FOG Gold finished second behind WinMan Clutch (MB2), placing ahead of Air Attack Volleyball Club (BC1) and Victoria Chargers Black (BC3).

On Day 2, FOG Gold topped their round-robin group with a 2-1 record. After a three-way tie, they were awarded first place ahead of Pacific Coast Volleyball (BC2), Lethbridge Volleyball Club (AB3), and Summit (SK1).

During Tier 1 playoffs on Day 3, FOG Gold defeated CanWest Black (AB4) in straight sets, 30-28 and 25-17. In the semifinals, they faced a rematch against WinMan Clutch (MB2) and fell in two tightly contested sets, 25-23 and 25-20. They bounced back in the bronze medal match, overcoming Pacific Coast Volleyball Club (BC2) in three sets (25-27, 25-23, 15-10) to secure a podium finish.

Luke Wright (#10) was named to the All-Star team for his standout performance throughout the tournament.
