U18/U17

The 17U/18U are the third and fourth stages of elite development within Alberta's elite development system. Competition consists of 4 Premier events, and a Provincial Championship leading to an "Open" Canadian National Championship. These are competitive teams that have an interest in competing at the Canadian National Championship.  17U teams will play in the 18U Premier Series but will have their own division at Provincials. 

Tryouts cannot commence prior to the completion of the ASAA volleyball provincial championships. Therefore, tryouts generally will start on the last Sunday of November or the first week of December.

Senior - 21U

21U volleyball is the final stage in Alberta’s elite development system which leads to a “Canadian National Championship". This level is the most elite level of play with the desire of most teams to compete at the Canadian National Championship. These teams are generally comprised of current college and university players who come together after their respective institutional seasons to participate in the Provincial and National Championships.

Masters

A division growing in popularity, the Masters division is for those players over the age of 35 who have a desire to play with their peers.  The Adult and Masters Provincial Championships is an open event designed for competitive players in Alberta.

Little Foggers (Under 12 Program)

The philosophy of this program is to provide young players the best way to learn to play the game of volleyball in a fun, participation-based and non-competitive environment. 

This is a introductory volleyball program designed for players 11-12 years old. Exceptions will be made for players aged 10, depending on the numbers participating in the program/sessions.  The program is designed for players new to the sport and for those who have some (limited) experience.

Fitness & Skill Course
Spring 2012 Edition

Fitness Through Volleyball is designed primarily as a fitness experience. Volleyball forms the basis of the activities. Getting fit for volleyball and getting fit through volleyball are the aims. The spring course will operate from January 10 till March 21 or April 25. 

You can sign-up for the whole 15 weeks, the first 11 weeks, or the last 4 weeks. You will notice that there is one missing Tuesday and one missing Wednesday, therefore the 11 weeks is really only 10 weeks. This is reflected in the fee structure. Registration for the course allows you to attend as many of the classes as you wish. Location Amiskwaciy gym, 7-815 P.M. The courts remain available until 9:30 if you wish to stay and play after class.

Fee structure

Pay upfront fee of $10 per week and then receive a $5 refund for each week that you show up, as follows:
 
11 weeks $100 fee with up to $50 back in refunds January 10 - March 21
 
15 weeks $140 fee with up to $70 back in refunds January 10 – April 25
 
4 weeks $40 fee with up to $20 back in refunds April 3 – 25
**If you are not currently an Alberta Volleyball Association member, add $10 to your fee, to cover the cost of your registration.**

Adult Volleyball Skills Course

FOG will be offering a Volleyball Skills course at Eastglen 8-9:30 on 8 Fridays from Feb 3 – April 27. Fee structure will be the same as the fitness class. Anyone registered in the fitness class during that time frame will be permitted to attend the skills clinic free of charge.***
